St. Augustine has launched a bike-share program with at least 90 bikes available across the city, giving residents and visitors a new way to get around during the busy tourist season. For New York visitor Chris Cates, getting around the historic city has long been a frustration.“So, for me, coming to St. Augustine, this is a city that really requires bike riding; it’s really difficult to get around,” Cates said.To help solve that problem, the City of St. Augustine launched a new bike-share program through local company Drifters Inc. At least 90 bikes are now available across the city for residents and visitors to ride.Cates said the program would have saved him significant time and money on past trips.“When I came here two years ago for the first time and there was not a bike-share program, I was having to get Ubers, I was having to wait for friends to come pick me up in a car. It was more expensive, parking was difficult,” Cates said.Locals eager to hit the streetsSt. Augustine residen
